I have examined the accompanying Ordinance, entitled "An Ordinance to amend Ordinance No. 4 of 1865, relating to offences against the person" and I am of opinion that the Ordinance is one which is not contrary to the Governor's Instructions.

When Section 49 of 4 of 1865 was drawn, the word "or" between "father" and "mother" was erroneously ... with "and" substituted. This corrects the error.
